Surrounded with snow-frosted Rocky Mountain peaks, secluded next to a legendary lake and showcased by a majestic glacier The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise awaits your arrival. Escape to a haven of inviting splendor. Hike, canoe, mountain bike, fly fish, ride horseback, ski and snowshoe. Any adventure starts right outside the Chateau's doors.
Built in 1890, two years after its sister hotel The Fairmont Banff Springs, the chalet was a simple structure in contrast. Visitors to Lake Louise numbered no more than one hundred in a summer season and were mainly climbers, artists and scenery photographers. Up until 1982, the Chateau operated only as a summer resort. The transformation to a four-season resort prompted the need for a large upgrade program. In 1990, after a $65 million investment, the restoration and expansion was completed, and today, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is beautifully suited for a second century of elegant hospitality in extraordinary surroundings.
The Chateau Lake Louise features room appointments designed to wow the visitor in the same way that the breathtaking scenery does. Whether you choose a suite, junior suit or mountainside standard room, your view of the Canadian Rockies is guaranteed. In addition to standard room amenities, all rooms include TV, refrigerator, ceiling fan, coffee maker, data-line capability, newspaper delivery and windows that open for fresh mountain air.

The Chateau Lake Louise offers a broad range of dining options, from a gourmet sandwich at the 24-hour Chateau Deli to a fine dining experience at the four-diamond Fairview Dining Room. The hotel's philosophy is to ensure offerings that reflect the heritage of the area, while keeping up with the latest culinary trends. Local, fresh and innovative are the pillars on which executive chef Felix Pfister builds his menus. Kids always eat free at the Chateau Lake Louise.

With incredible views, a full-service spa and a complete fitness center, you may not want to step outdoors at the Chateau Lake Louise. However, you'd be missing out on the grand landscape that has made this hotel famous.
